The JNorthern Arizona Lumberjacks and Idaho Vandals face off on Saturday in Week 10 FCS showdown at Walkup Skydome.
The Idaho Vandals have played five games so far this season and they have won two of the games. In the last game against Eastern Washington the Idaho Vandals were able to put up 31 points but the defense gave up 38 points and that led to the defeat. This is an offense that has been good this season, but their defense has really let them down at times, and going forward they are going to need the defense to be a lot better. Idaho has a dynamic player at quarterback in Zach Borisch. In the last game Borish only threw for 78 yards but he added another 205 yards on the ground and two touchdowns. In this game, they are going to need to have the defense to step up.
On the other side of this matchup is Northern Arizona Lumberjacks who currently sit with a 2-2 record overall and they were able to come away with a victory in the last game against Southern Utah. The offense was good in the last game putting up 28 points and that led to the victory. At quarterback, Northern Arizona was led by Keondre Wudtee and he put up 289 yards and a touchdown. George Robinson also had a big game on the ground finishing with 102 yards and a touchdown. At times this has also been a defense that has let them down.
These are two defenses who have struggled at times and I expect that both teams are going ot have issues playing any defense in thsi game. Look for both teams to run up the score and for this game to go well over the posted total.
