The Villanova Wildcats and Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens face off on Saturday in Week 10 FCS showdown at Villanova Stadium.
The Villanova Wildcats have played three games so far this year and they have been able to win two of those games. In the last game against Maine it was the offense that was the difference putting up 44 points and that led to the blowout victory. At halftime of the last game, Villanova was winning 24-3 at halftime and they never looked back. Daniel Smith is under center for Villanova and he completed 16 of his 28 passes for 176 yards and a touchdown. In this game for Villanova it’s going to be all about the offense running up the score and making this game a shootout. If Villanova’s offense is strong they should be good.
On the other side of this matchup is the Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens and they have been able to win all four of the games. In the last game against Delaware State, Delaware was able to come away with a 34-14 victory. Delaware was led under center by Nolan Henderson who completed 11 passes for 167 yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Dejoun Lee was the star of the show finishing the game with 14 carries for 109 yards and two touchdowns. Each of the four games Delaware has scored at least 31 points and they need the offense to be strong again in this game.
Delaware is the better team and their defense is going to slow down Villanova. Look for Delaware to make life tough on Villanova and that will be the difference as they win in blowout fashion. Back Delaware against the spread.
