The BC Lions and Edmonton Eskimos meet Friday in CFL action at Commonwealth Stadium.

The BC Lions look for a statement victory to build on their four-game winning streak. The BC Lions have won four straight road games. Travis Lulay is completing 72.2 percent of his passes for 840 yards, five touchdowns and four interceptions. Lulay and Jonathon Jennings have combined for seven touchdown passes. Nick Moore and Bryan Burnham have combined for 748 receiving yards and two touchdowns while Emmanuel Arceneaux has 24 receptions. The BC Lions ground game is averaging 88.6 yards per contest, and Jeremiah Johnson leads the way with 313 yards and five touchdowns. Defensively, BC is allowing 25.8 points and 383.8 yards per game. Solomon Elimimian leads the BC Lions with 40 tackles, Craig Roh has three sacks and Ronnie Yell has two interceptions.

The Edmonton Eskimos look for another victory to build on their 4-0 start to the CFL season. The Edmonton Eskimos have won four straight home games. Mike Reilly is completing 72.1 percent of his passes for 1,216 yards, seven touchdowns and zero interceptions. Reilly has five touchdown passes in his last three games played. Brandon Zylstra and Vidal Hazelton have combined for 635 receiving yards and two touchdowns while D'haquille Williams has 12 receptions. The Lions are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in July and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 vs. West. The Eskimos are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 home games, 2-6 ATS in their last 8 vs. West and 0-3-2 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Lions are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings and the under is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings in Edmonton.

Edmonton already beat BC on the road this season despite being 4.5 point underdogs. The Eskimos have also won six of the last eight meetings against the Lions overall. This is the best game on the CFL schedule so far given the way both clubs are playing, and I give the edge to Edmonton at home. Both teams can score, but the Eskimos defense has the edge, and its allowing just 313.3 yards per game in its last three games, really good numbers for the CFL. I'll lay the field goal.
