Saskatchewan Roughriders and Ottawa Redblacks meet Thursday in CFL action at TD Place Stadium.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders look for a quick 2-0 start to the season after beating up on the Toronto Argonauts in their season opener. The Saskatchewan Roughriders have won four straight road games. Zach Collaros is completing 72 percent of his passes for 203 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions. Collaros has one or less touchdown passes in each of his last four games. Caleb Holley and Duron Carter have combined for 83 receiving yards on five receptions while Joshua Stanford has two receptions. The Saskatchewan Roughriders ground game is averaging 111 yards per contest, and Jerome Messam leads the way with 72 yards on 21 carries. Defensively, Saskatchewan is allowing 19 points and 289 yards per game. Derrick Moncrief leads the Saskatchewan Roughriders with eight tackles, Charleston Hughes has three sacks and Ed Gainey has two pass deflections.

The Ottawa Redblacks are coming off a hit or miss 8-9-1 season in which they lost i the east semifinals. Ottawa has some new faces on both sides of the ball but should be a decent offensive club yet again due to Trevor Harris at quarterback, Greg Ellingson at wide receiver and a 1,000-yard rusher in William Powell. The Ottawa Redblacks finished third in the CFL in total points scored and should be able to produce similar numbers again this season. Defensively, the Redblacks lose their top tackler in Taylor Reed, but they do return a quality pass rusher in Avery Ellis and a defensive back who had four interceptions in Antoine Pruneau. The Redblacks should be better than last years record indicated, as this team was on the wrong side of a lot of close games last season. The Ottawa Redblacks look to make the playoffs for the fourth time in five years.
The Roughriders are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games in Week 2, 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS win and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games in June. The RedBlacks are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games in June, 5-2 ATS in their last 7 Thursday games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games. The under is 12-4-1 in RedBlacks last 17 games overall and the under is 10-1 in Roughriders last 11 games overall.
This is a quick turnaround for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, who are coming off an emotional and impressive win over the defending champs. The Ottawa Redblacks have had all offseason to prepare for this game and are sure to have a strong home crowd for their season opener. Saskatchewan has had its way with Ottawa in the past, and the road team has won each of the last four meetings, but the Redblacks have a balanaced and talented team that should be eager to get off to a fast start after how last year ended. I'll eat the small chalk with the rested home team.
