The Saskatchewan Roughriders and Montreal Alouettes meet Sunday in CFL action at Molson Stadium.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders look to keep the ball rolling after winning five of their last six games. The Saskatchewan Roughriders have won three straight road games. Zach Collaros is completing 59.3 percent of his passes for 1,873 yards, eight touchdowns and nine interceptions. Collaros and Brandon Bridge have combined for nine touchdown passes and 12 interceptions this season. Naaman Roosevelt and Jordan Williams-Lambert have combined for 1,138 receiving yards and eight touchdowns while Shaquelle Evans has 31 receptions. The Saskatchewan Roughriders ground game is averaging 112.2 yards per contest, and Tre Mason leads the way with 602 yards on 115 carries. Defensively, Saskatchewan is allowing 25.5 points and 361 yards per game. Samuel Eguavoen leads the Saskatchewan Roughriders with 61 tackles, Charleston Hughes has 13 sacks and Tobi Antigha has two interceptions.
The Montreal Alouettes could use a feel good victory here after losing eight of their last 10 games. The Montreal Alouettes have lost five of their last six home games. Antonio Pipkin is completing 61.3 percent of his passes for 857 yards, one touchdown and eight interceptions. Pipkin and Drew Willy have combined for four touchdown passes and nine interceptions. B.J. Cunningham and Eugene Lewis have combined for 1,119 receiving yards and four touchdowns while Ernest Jackson has 32 receptions. Defensively, Montreal is allowing 30.9 points and 427.5 yards per game. Henoc Muamba leads the Montreal Alouettes with 79 tackles, Jesse Joseph has three sacks and Branden Dozier has four interceptions.
The Roughriders are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games in September, 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games in Week 16 and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The 6-20 ATS in their last 26 home games, 4-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and 6-17 ATS in their last 23 games overall. The Roughriders are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 meetings and the under is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings.
The Montreal Alouettes have won four of the last five meetings against the Saskatchewan Roughriders, but they've been awful all season long and are just 3-10 ATS this season. it also doesn't help that the Alouettes are being outscored by 21.9 points at home this season. The Saskatchewan Roughriders have been in a lot of close games this season and don't have much success against Montreal, but they have been the much better team this season and have been a nice bet ATS this season. I have no choice but to lay the touchdown here, as betting the Alouettes isn't a wise option based on how this year has played out.
