The Line: BC Lions +7 -- Over/Under: 49.5
The Calgary Stampeders and BC Lions meet Saturday in CFL action at BC Place.
The Calgary Stampeders hope to stop the bleeding here, as they enter this contest riding a three-game losing streak. The Calgary Stampeders have split their last six road games. Bo Levi Mitchell is completing 60.8 percent of his passes for 4,846 yards, 34 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Levi Mitchell has two or more touchdown passes in 14 of his last 23 games. Kamar Jorden and DaVaris Daniels have combined for 1,691 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns while Juwan Brescacin has 34 receptions. The Calgary Stampeders ground game is averaging 96.8 yards per contest, and Don Jackson leads the way with 833 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Calgary is allowing 20.8 points and 340.4 yards per game. Alex Singleton leads the Calgary Stampeders with 115 tackles, Micah Johnson has 13 sacks and Emanuel Davis has four interceptions.
The BC Lions look to head into the playoffs hot after winning six of their last eight games. The BC Lions have won each of their last four home games. Travis Lulay is completing 60 percent of his passes for 2,382 yards, 13 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Jonathon Jennings and Lulay have combined for 21 touchdown passes and 16 interceptions this season. Bryan Burnham and Ricky Collins have combined for 1,569 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns while Emmanuel Arceneaux has 32 receptions. The BC Lions ground game is averaging 97.1 yards per contest, and Jeremiah Johnson leads the way with 633 yards and five touchdowns. Defensively, BC is allowing 26.3 points and 357.4 yards per game. T.J. Lee leads the BC Lions with 77 tackles, Odell Willis has 11 sacks and Winston Rose has five interceptions.
The Stampeders are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games, 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games in November and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The Lions are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 home games, 2-5 ATS in their last 7 Saturday games and 1-8-1 ATS in their last 10 games in November. The Stampeders are 12-4-1 ATS in their last 17 meetings in BC. The under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings.
I'm not laying chalk with a banged up and losing Calgary Stampeders club, especially on the road. The Stampeders are in full struggle mode right now, and it's also worth mentioning that BC has won two of the last three meetings against Calgary. While the BC Lions have obvious issues of their own heading into this game, getting a free touchdown with them at home is too good to pass up. The Calgary Stampeders shouldn't be big favorites against anybody in their current form and with their injury situation.
