The BC Lions and Ottawa Redblacks meet Saturday in week 4 CFL action at TD Place Stadium. The BC Lions look for a win to get back to a .500 record. The Ottawa Redblacks look for a win here to get a game above a .500 record.

The BC Lions have lost five of their last six games overall. Michael Reilly is completing 71.6 percent of his passes for 673 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions. Reilly and Nathan Rourke have combined for three touchdowns and two interceptions. Lucky Whitehead and Bryan Burnham have combined for 520 receiving yards and two touchdowns while Lemar Durant has 14 receptions. The BC Lions ground game is averaging 62.3 yards per contest, and James Butler leads the way with 61 yards on 19 carries. Defensively, BC is allowing 21 points and 365 yards per game. Jordan Williams leads the BC Lions with 20 tackles, Odum Gwachum has two sacks and KiAnte Hardin has two interceptions.

The Ottawa Redblacks have lost 12 of their last 13 games overall. Matt Nichols is completing 70.5 percent of his passes for 247 yards, zero touchdowns and one interception. Nichols has one touchdown pass in his last four games. RJ Harris and Ryan Davis have combined for 175 receiving yards on 17 catches while Daniel Petermann has three receptions. Defensively, Ottawa is allowing 17.5 points and 421.5 yards per game. Avery Williams leads the Ottawa Redblacks with 23 tackles, Micah Awe has one sack and Abdul Kanneh has two interceptions.

The Lions are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games. The RedBlacks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games and 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games overall. The under is 11-2 in Lions last 13 games overall. The under is 4-1 in RedBlacks last 5 games overall. The Lions are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings.

I’m not running to the window to back either of these struggling teams if we’re being honest. However, the BC Lions have played the better ball though two games, while the Redblacks have had major issues offensively and defensively. The Redblacks have also been horrible against the spread dating back to the 2019 season. BC has also outscored Ottawa 69-12 in the last two meetings. Thick number to lay on the road, but it’s BC or pass for me.
