The Calgary Stampeders and Hamilton Tiger-Cats meet Friday in week 7 CFL action at Tim Hortons Field. The Calgary Stampeders look for another win to build on their sluggish 2-4 record. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats look for a win here to get back to a .500 record.

The Calgary Stampeders have lost five of their last seven games overall. Bo Levi Mitchell is completing 58.3 percent of his passes for 818 yards, two touchdowns and six interceptions. Mitchell and Jake Maier have combined for four touchdowns and eight interceptions. Kamar Jorden and Josh Huff have combined for 928 receiving yards and three touchdowns while Markeith Ambles has 31 receptions. The Calgary Stampeders ground game is averaging 76.7 yards per contest, and Ka’Deem Carey leads the way with 339 yards and four touchdowns. Defensively, Calgary is allowing 21 points and 397.5 yards per game. Darnell Sankey leads the Calgary Stampeders with 36 tackles, Shawn Lemon has four sacks and Royce Metchie has one interception.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have won seven of their last 11 games overall. Jeremiah Masoli is completing 62.1 percent of his passes for 377 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions. Masoli and Dane Evans have combined for six touchdown passes and five interceptions. Jaelon Acklin and Tim White have combined for 504 receiving yards and two touchdowns while Brandon Banks has 18 receptions. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats ground game is averaging 77.2 yards per contest, and Sean Thomas Erlington leads the way with 176 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Hamilton is allowing 19 points and 342.4 yards per game. Simoni Lawrence leads the Hamilton Tiger-Cats with 29 tackles, Ja’Gared Davis has two sacks and Cariel Brooks has two interceptions.

The Stampeders are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 road games and 3-10-1 ATS in their last 14 games overall. The Tiger-Cats are 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 home games and 10-4-3 ATS in their last 17 games overall. The under is 10-4 in Stampeders last 14 road games. The under is 7-1 in Tiger-Cats last 8 games overall. The Stampeders are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 meetings in Hamilton.

I’ve bashed the Calgary Stampeders a lot dating back to last season, as they’re not living up to their full potential. However, the Stamps are coming off a nice win over the Elks and the offense is showing signs of coming together. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats haven’t exactly been world beaters this season and they’ve had issues moving the football. Calgary has also won nine of the last 10 meetings against Hamilton. The Stampeders and the free points feels like a steal.
