The Detroit Titans and Connecticut Huskies look for a win on Thursday evening.
Detroit dropped their opener to South Alabama to begin life without Horizon POY Ray McCallum. The Titans rebounded to crush sub division Michigan-Dearborn 106-51 in a practice session type of contest but where they fit in the conference without their best player is a question with no answer right now. Facing Michigan-Dearborn didn't tell us a thing with the Titans connecting at over 52% from the floor and winning the battle on the glass 49-22. Juwan Howard Jr led the rout with 22 points and ten boards closely followed by 21 points from Anton Wilson. Jarod Williams, Patrick Onwenu and Evan Bruinsma each tossed in 12 while Matthew Grant chipped in with ten points.

After escaping Maryland with a one point victory in the season opener Connecticut found the going much easier in an 80-62 decision over Yale. The Huskies took all the mystery out of this one with a 15 point lead heading to the locker room and were never challenged. UConn burned the nets at nearly 57% including an 11-17 mark from long range. Yale was dead meat at that point with only 31.7% marksmanship which negated 17 more looks at the basket. Omar Calhoun pumped in a game high 18 points followed by Niels Giffey with 15 while Ryan Boatright and Shabazz Napier added 14 points apiece with the latter grabbing eleven rebounds and handing out ten assists.
Detroit lost a ton of production from a year ago and have no shot here. The Huskies can name their score here but I'm still taking the points in a game I have no angle on so be cautious...
