The Wright State Raiders and DePaul Blue Demons look to get back in the win column.
Wright State might be one of the favorites in the Horizon League but they were a bit banged up going against Georgetown and the Hoyas delivered a merciless 88-70 beating that really wasn't that close. It's obvious the Raiders need all their weapons when going against the big boys and better defense. The Hoyas sank half their shots and had advantages throughout the boxscore and the number that sticks out was the Raiders 38.6% shooting. Kendall Griffin led the Raiders with 15 points followed by JT Yoho and Miles Dixon tossed in 14 points each. The problem was Cole Darling played one minute and Reggie Arceneaux 14 minutes.

DePaul hasn't been much of a factor in quite awhile and many believe it will be awhile longer before they put a competitive team on the floor. The Blue Demons were slight favorites against Southern Mississippi but couldn't control the pace and dropped a 75-68 decision. USM burned the nets with 52% shooting with DePaul connecting at 43%. That proved to be the decisive key with the boxscore competitive in most other areas. The scoring wasn't spread around enough with Brandon Young tossing in a game high 23 points with six rebounds followed by a 16 point effort by Cleveland Melvin while Charles McKinney and Tommy Hamilton Jr combined for 17 points and eight boards.
I said before that I like Wright State but I mean it when I say they need Arceneaux and Darling playing significant time or they are just another team. I'll back them assuming both play for extended periods...
