The Louisiana-Lafayette Raging' Cajuns look for their third win at the #25 Baylor Bears.
Louisiana-Lafayette open 2013-14 with a pair of lopsided victories against some lesser lights but the table was turned in a 76-63 defeat at Arkansas. The Ragin' Cajuns had been impressive at both ends of the floor and gave the Razorbacks a run for their money for 20 minutes where they trailed by one before their offense and defense stayed in the locker room for the second half. At the final buzzer Arkansas and their 51% marksmanship prevailed over Lafayette's 40% with most other areas competitive. Elfrid Payton poured in a game high 27 points which was negated with nine turnovers while Shawn Long added 12 points with five yanks while Elridge Moore tossed in ten with eight boards.

After opening the season with an easy win over Colorado, Baylor found the sledding a whole lot tougher in a 66-64 decision over South Carolina that wasn't decided until the final buzzer sounded. Defense or poor shooting was the name of the game with the Bears hitting at 39% clip while the Gamecocks checked in at 36%. Baylor knocked down a few more threes and South Carolina a few more twos with a slight edge at the stripe to stay close. Brady Heslip led the offense with 18 points with Isaiah Austin tossing in 14 while Kenny Chery and Taurean Prince combined for 17 points with Prince hauling in 12 rebounds. The Bears used a nine man rotation with all players seeing at least 14 minutes of floor time.
I'm not completely sure of what Louisiana-Lafayette brings to the table until they face some better teams. The Ragin' Cajuns have struggled on the road but do have potential so this isn't my favorite play...
