The Oakland Golden Grizzlies take the floor with the #15 Gonzaga Bulldogs on Sunday.
The big scoring offense that Oakland has fielded the past several years has struggled to put up points while combining with a defense that has also struggled which is not a winning combination. The defense played their best game in a 64-60 loss at California before a poor second half squandered a six point lead. Both teams connected at around 40% from the field with the major difference being Cal held a 19-7 edge at the foul line. Travis Bader led the attack with 21 points and six pulls followed by Kahlil Felder with 13 while Tommie McCune and Corey Petros combined for 21 points and 20 rebounds.

Gonzaga has become a fixture in the top 20 and is always tagged as a National Championship contender and 2013-14 is no different. The Bulldogs have jumped to a 2-0 start behind an offense that is averaging 96 points following a 93-61 dismantling of Colorado State. The Zags led 47-26 after 20 minutes and were never challenged behind blistering 57.6% shooting and balanced scoring from four DD scorers. The Rams were road kill with 32% from the floor with the Bulldogs sinking 14 long range bombs. Gary Bell Jr paced the scoring spree with 24 points with Gerard Coleman contributing 16 while Kevin Pangos added 13 points and David Stockton with ten. Eleven players saw the floor and each found the scoring column.
The Bulldogs have been lighting up the scoreboard and have the ability to do so here. The question is whether Oakland can run and gun with them or get some stops to cover the big number...
