The Notre Dame Fighting Irish look to stay unbeaten against the Indiana State Sycamores.

Indiana State is penciled in as a contender in the Missouri Valley but that pencil better have an eraser if this team doesn't learn to win on the road. A 96-95 defeat at Belmont was about as disappointing a loss for this team as I have seen in recent memory. ISU led 49-33 at the break but were hammered 63-46 and I'm wondering how a conference contender can allow 63 points in 20 minutes. I guess the answer has something to do with the Bruins shooting almost 60% with the Sycamores finishing at 50% which was the only difference. Khristian Smith tossed in a game high 28 points followed by 23 points, six boards and five helpers from Jake Odum while Dawon Cummings and Manny Arop kicked in with 21.

Paul Halfacre-USA TODAY Sports

Notre Dame looks to move up the national rankings after beginning the season 2-0 behind solid contributions at both ends of the floor. Stetson proved to be no challenge in an 80-49 decision where the Fighting Irish jumped out to a 30 point bulge heading in to the locker room and never looking back. The Irish burned the nets with 56% shooting while the Hatters were limited to only 32% which was game over. ND held a +11 on the backboards and forced 13 turnovers as Stetson was never a factor with only one DD scorer. Notr Dame had no such issues on the scoreboard with Garrick Sherman Jerian Grant pumping in 15 points with Shermand grabbing nine boards with Pat Connaughton adding ten while four others chipped in with between 7-9 points.

I don't know if I could back Indiana State on the road because they just don't have it away from home. Notre Dame wins but I will back the Sycamores and hope they avoid getting embarassed again...
