The #4 Arizona Wildcats look to stay perfect when the Rhode Island Rams take the court.
Rhode Island is off to a nice 3-1 start to kick off the 2013-14 campagn although the schedule hasn't been tough to this point. What the Rams have is a bit of a mystery and probably more so after barely beating Metro State 66-63 in a game many thought would be a double figure victory. Metro actually held a ten point lead after 20 minutes before a desperate URI rally saved the day. Both teams hit shots at a 43% pace but the boxscore showed advantages for both teams with the Rams owning a +11 on the boards and a few more threes which was negated by the Roadrunners sinking more free throws. Xavier Munford and EC Matthews each pumped in 16 points and combined for 14 rebounds while Jarelle Reischel chipped in with nine.

Arizona has looked rock solid in their 4-0 start with three victories by double figures to validate the high ranking. The Wildcats have been winning relatively easily and were never challenged in a 100-50 decision over an over matched Fairleigh-Dickinson. The best thing that can be said for the Knights is it's over and for Zona they are thankful to escape without injuries in a game that was never in the realm of competitive. The Wildcats burned the nets at 53% including a 10-19 mark on threes while wiping the glass clean 51-22. With FDU hitting shots 31% the score could have been even worse in what amounted to a practise session for the winners. Gabe York led seven players in DD with 20 points followed by Nick Johnson with 16 and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson with 13 while Brandon Ashley, Aaron Gordon and Kaleb Tarczewski combined for 31 points.
No line on this but I expect a big one. Not as huge as we saw with Fairleigh-Dickinson but substantial none the less. I don't even know the spread and I'm already thinking the Wildcats will have their way but please check back.
