Fourth-ranked Kentucky looks for consecutive victories when they host Texas-Arlington in game two of the Keightley Classic Tuesday night.
The Kentucky Wildcats followed a tight loss to Michigan State last week with an 87-49 shellacking of Robert Morris last night, starting five freshmen for the first time in its history and cruising to a 38-point victory with what many are calling the school’s best ever recruiting class. 6-6 Guard Aaron Harrison led all scorers with 28 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists on 7-of-12 from the field and made 10-of-10 from the free throw line. 6-9 F Julius Randle, the Wildcats’ leading scorer, scored 10 points and grabbed 15 boards after a 27-point, 13 rebound performance in the loss to Michigan State. Kentucky shot 49% from the field, 36% from beyond the arc and made 24-of 34 free throw attempts.

UT-Arlington comes into the contest 2-2 overall and fresh off an 83-73 loss to Cleveland State in which they shot just 33% from the field and 21% from distance. The Mavericks rallied late to cut the Viking’s lead to 71-65 with 2:30 left in the second half, but could get no closer. 6-1 senior G Reger Dowell led all scorers with 25 points and added 5 rebounds and 5 three-pointers. 6-6 senior F Brandon Edwards comes in averaging a double-double with 17.5 points and 11.3 rebounds per game. Against Cleveland State, Edwards scored 21 points on 45% from the field and grabbed 12 boards.
The line in this one is currently set at -26 for Kentucky, which looks like an easy cover. Boise State has been Texas-Arlington’s most formidable opponent to this point and they got blown out there by 29.
