The 21st-ranked Iowa State Cyclones look to remain undefeated when they travel to Provo to face the BYU Cougars Wednesday.
Iowa State comes in at 3-0 and fresh off a thrilling 77-70 upset of #7 Michigan Sunday that saw the return of F Melvin Ejim after the 6-6 senior missed two games with a hyperextended knee. Ejim, a preseason All-Big 12 pick, scored a game-high 22 points on 57% from the field and added 9 rebounds and 3 steals. 6-4 sophomore G Naz Long had 16 points and made 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. The Cyclones ended the game on a 23-10 run and shot 47% from the field, 30% from distance and 68% from the charity stripe.

BYU also comes into the game undefeated and off an 84-60 thumping of Colorado Mesa Saturday. The Cougars used a 21-1 run early in the second half to pull away from the Division II program for good, led by 6-2 junior G Matt Carlino, who scored a team-high 16 points on 5-of-17 from the field and had 5 boards and 3 assists. 6-6 sophomore G Kyle Collinsworth added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. As a team, BYU shot 41% from the field, 72% from the free throw line and made just 1of-21 three-pointers.
The line in this one is currently at -6 for BYU and with the return of Melvin Ejim, who was the best player on the floor against Michigan and will also more than likely be the clear standout here, the points and Iowa State are the play.
