The 1-1 Bowling Green Falcons visit the Kohl Center for a showdown with the undefeated Wisconsin Badgers Thursday night at 8PM.

Bowling Green followed up their dominant opening game performance with a 75-61 loss to the South Florida Bulls.  Bowling Green trailed by 7 at the break and was never able to get into the swing of things offensively as the Bulls pressure D made it tough to get any rhythm going.  Bowling Green allowed the Bulls to shoot nearly 60% from the floor and the Falcons themselves shot it just 35%.  Jehvon Clarke led the way with 17, 4 and 4 and Richaun Holmes and Spencer Parker combined for 21 points for the Falcons.  Bowling Green was outrebounded 43-36 and the Falcons committed 22 fouls, allowing the Bulls to do significant damage at the line.

Wisconsin Badgers vs. Bowling Green Falcons Pick-Odds-Prediction 11/21/13

Mary Langenfeld-USA TODAY Sports

The 12th ranked Badgers moved to 4-0 on the young season with a dominant 103-85 win over North Dakota.  It was the Badgers first game over the century mark since the mid-90s and Wiscy was led by the breakout performance of Frank Kaminsky.  The big man tallied a school record 43 points after averaging just 8 PPG on the year.  The Badgers only had four player score in double figures but that was all they needed as Kaminsky stroked it from deep and finished around the room -- he was a whopping 16-19 from the field and 6-6 from deep.  Wisconsin racked up 19 assists to North Dakota’s 12 and shot 59% from the field and 60% from deep for the contest.

Some trends to consider -- Bowling Green is 4-9-2 against the spread in their last 15 road contests and Wisconsin is 5-0 against the spread in their last 5 against the MAC.

The Badgers are riding high right now and while I think Kaminsky’s performance is certainly an outlier, I expect the big fella to be a consistent double digit scorer for the Badgers moving forward.  Look for Wisconsin to use their size advantage and perimeter shooting to overwhelm the Falcons early and coast to the easy win and cover at home in front of the Kohl Center faithful.
