The Oklahoma Sooners look to stay unbeaten when they travel to Brooklyn, New York and the Barclays Center to face the Seton Hall Pirates.
The Sooners smoked Idaho 85-65 last time out behind a solid defensive effort that kept the Vandals to just 36% shooting from the field and gave OU a 45-35 rebounding edge. Senior 6-7 G Cameron Clark led all scorers with 14 points and added 4 rebounds. 6-7 senior F Tyler Neal had 12 points, 7 boards and made 2-of-3 from beyond the arc, 6-4 sophomore G Je’lon Hornbeak had 12 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds and made 2-of-5 from distance and 6-8 sophmore F Ryan Spangler had 13 points, 4 rebounds and 3 blocks. As a team, Oklahoma shot 29-of-62 for 46% from the floor, shot 40% from beyond the arc and made 9-of-30 free throw attempts.

The Seton Hall Pirates come in 3-1 and off of an 82-66 win over Monmouth Monday, highlighted by a career outing from 6-9 junior F Patrik Auda. Auda, a native of the Czech Republic, scored 27 points on 88% shooting, grabbed 10 rebounds and went 9-for-9 from the free throw line. 6-2 sophomore G Sterling Gibbs, a Texas transfer, added 16 points on 80% from the floor, had 4 rebounds and 4 assists and hit 2-of-2 from beyond the arc. As a team, Seton Hall shot 53% from the field, 43% from distance and made 23-of-28 from the line.
Oklahoma opened up a 2.5 favorite in this one and neither team really has any quality wins of note. OU did beat Alabama in its opener, but the jury’s still out on the Tide. Seton Hall lost to Mercer, though, who did take Texas to the wire, but lost to Evansville of the Missouri Valley Conference by 13. Not much to go on, but it’s really all there is at this point. The Sooners cover.
