The Chattanooga Mocs head West to take the hardwood with the #24 UCLA Bruins.
Chattanooga is not accustomed to winning and four consecutive losing seasons tells that story. Enter Will Wade an assistant with Virginia Commonwealth who brings the uptempo defense the Rams rode to success. That defense might need time to gel because it didn't work in an 83-81 loss to Nevada in an old fashion shootout where both teams scorched the nets with better then 50% marksmanship. The boxscore was almost even throughout with the Mocs sinking a few more threes and the Wolf Pack making more shots overall. Zaccheus Mason led the Chat scoring parade with 24 points and eight boards with Greg pryor next in line with 19 points and five helpers while Gee McGhee added 12 points and another five assists.

#24 UCLA has been quick out of the gates at 4-0 and have shown the ability to score and defend when needed. The Bruins needed more offense then they probably thought in defeating Morehead State 81-70 although the defense allowed just 37% shooting by the Eagles. On the flip side the Bruins sank shots at over 49% with seven more makes being the difference with Morehead State nailing ten bombs to keep from getting blown out. Jordan Adams was a man among boys with 30 points and seven boards with a 13 point, 12 rebound, eleven assist performance coming from Kyle Anderson while Zach Lavine and Travis Wear tossing in 12 and eleven points respectively.
I can see Chattanooga causing a few problems for UCLA although it's likely the Bruins cause more problems for the Mocs. My guess is UCLA covers if they choose too...
