The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Wyoming Cowboys face off on Monday in college basketball action.
The Ohio State Buckeyes are off to a 4-0 start to the season and look to once again have a solid team of starters. Thad Motta’s recent teams at OSU have lacked the depth and that is what has stood in the way of winning a National Championship. Aaron Craft leads the Buckeyes and he is averaging 10.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 3.2 steals per game. Shannon Scott is averaging 12.5 points and 3.8 rebounds, Sam Thompson is averaging 11 points and 4.8 rebounds, and Lenzelle Smith Jr. is averaging 9.5 points. Ohio State is averaging 70.8 points per game and they are shooting 41.9 percent from the floor while their opponents score 51.5 points and shoot 34.4 percent.

The Wyoming Cowboys are off to a 4-1 start but they lost the game that was their biggest test, at Colorado. The Cowboys look to be a solid team but they probably have their work cut out for them in this one. Riley Grabau is averaging 15 .6 points per game and 2.4 assists to lead Wyoming. Larry Nance Jr. is averaging 11.8 points and 8.4 rebounds, Josh Adams is averaging 11.2 points, and Charles Hankerson is averaging 8.8 points. Wyoming is averaging 72.8 points per game and they are shooting 50 percent including 41.9 percent from beyond the three-point arc while defensively they are allowing 61 points and 36.7 percent shooting from their opposition.
Ohio State is 1-5 against the spread in their last six non-conference games, 0-5 against the spread in their last five home games, and 1-4 against the spread against a team with a winning record. Wyoming is 4-0 against the spread in their last four games, 2-6 against the spread following a game that they covered the point spread, and 2-8 against the spread following a win.
Ohio State has put up some monster performances at home over the years but usually that happens in big games. While I like the Buckeyes to win outright Wyoming matches up pretty well and the Cowboys can make a game of it especially getting this generous number.
