The Wisconsin Badgers and St Louis Billikens square off in the Cancun Challenge Tuesday.
St Louis has been quick out of the gate with a 5-0 record built on plenty of scoring and solid defense. The goal of course is to gain a little bit of national exposure and perhaps inch their way in to the top 25. The Billikens might have played their best game last time out in a 74-47 rout of Bowling Green as 19 point favorite. The shots were falling at a 47% clip while the defense limited the Falcons to 33% with SLU sinking 12 more baskets with an additional ten shots. Dwayne Evans paced the attack with 14 points followed by the duo of Tanner Lancona and Mike McCall Jr who scored 12 and eleven points respectively.

Wisconsin has a well desrved reputation of being one of the better defensive teams in the game but when you look at their 6-0 start you see the Badgers are averaging over 80 points and allowing 68. The offense needed a big effort to stay perfect last time out in a 76-67 decision over Oral Roberts. Wisky took a nine point lead at the break but couldn't shake the pesky Golden Eagles who nailed 55% of their looks. Even though the Badgers hit at 47% they held a nine point edge at the charity stripe and mustered eight more looks. Frank Kaminsky led five DD scorers with 21 points with Josh Gasser adding with Ben Brust scoring 12 points and grabbing eight rebounds while Traevon Jackson and Sam Dekker combined for 21 points.
I am a fan of the Atlantic Ten so I am rooting for St Louis here. I am surprised we don't have a point or two more to lean on so I'll watch the line...
