The Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Purdue Boilermakers face off on Thursday in Orlando in Thanksgiving Day college basketball action.
The Oklahoma State Cowboys are off to a 5-0 start tot eh season and they are ranked 8th in the nation. OSU has been dominating in all of their games this year and look to be an early candidate for the Final Four. Marcus Smart leads the Cowboys averaging 21 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 4.2 steals per game. Markel Brown is averaging 18.2 points and 4.4 assists, Phil Forte is averaging 14.8 points, and Brian Williams is averaging 11.6 points and 5.0 rebounds. Oklahoma State averages 100.2 points and they shoot 51.8 percent from the floor while defensively they allow 62.4 points and their opponents shoot 37.3 percent. Okie State knocked off a solid Memphis team by 21 points just over a week ago.

The Purdue Boilermakers are off to a 5-0 start and this their first game away from home. The Boilermakers have faced the 333rd ranked schedule in the nation and it is about to get more difficult in a hurry. Ronnie Johnson is averaging 13.8 points and 4.4 assists per game to lead Purdue. Terone Johnson is averaging 13 points, Bryson Scott is averaging 10.6 points, and Jay Simpson is averaging 7.4 points and 5.6 rebounds. Purdue is averaging 86.2 points and they are shooting 48.4 percent from the floor while defensively they are allowing 70.8 points and their opponents shoot 38.4 percent. Purdue start their Big Ten schedule with Ohio State in New Year’s Eve.
Oklahoma State is 9-3-1 against the spread in their last 13 non-conference games, 5-13 against the spread against a team with a winning record, and 7-2-1 against the spread in their last 10 games after scoring more than 90 points in their previous game. Purdue is 4-1 against the spread against the Big 12, 5-1 against the spread against a team with a winning record, and 0-4 against the spread in their last four neutral site games.
