Cal State Fullerton meets the College of Charleston Sunday in the Wooden Legacy Tournament in California.
The Titans are 2-5 and coming off a narrow 48-46 defeat to Miami Friday in which a missed three-point shot at the buzzer sealed their fate. Cal State Fullerton had a tough time finding the basket all day and shot 35 percent from the field, 22 percent from beyond the arc and connected on 8 of 13 from the free throw line. Senior G Michael Williams was the high man with 15 points on 37 percent shooting and freshman G Sheldon Blackwell added 13 points on 66 percent from the floor to go with 6 assists. The Hurricanes seemed to have the game in hand with a little under 9 minutes left, but the Titans hung around and went on a 22-7 run to end the game just short of the comeback. On the season, Cal State is averaging 67.7 ppg on 44 percent from the field and junior G Alex Harris leads the team with 17.7 ppg on 83 percent from the floor and 47 percent from distance.

Charleston also comes in with a record of 2-5 and off an 80-58 spanking at the hands of Arizona State Friday. Junior G Anthony Stitt had a team-high 12 points on 45 percent shooting and made 2 of 4 from beyond the arc. Junior F Adjehi Baru added 11 points and 9 rebounds on 40 percent from the floor. Through seven games, the Cougars are averaging 63.1 ppg on 41 percent from the field and freshman G Canyon Barry leads the team in scoring with 12.4 ppg on 39 percent from the floor and 27 percent from beyond the arc.
The line for this game currently favors Charleston by 3 points and they have had a tougher road thus far with Louisville, Miami, San Diego State and Arizona State among their losses. They have a quality win over Charlotte as well. The Titans, meanwhile, have one quality loss to Miami and no quality wins so look for a Charleston cover.
