The Cornell Big Red usually field a solid college hoops squad but this year they have started the year 0-8. Cornell has played the 121st ranked schedule in the nation but Bill Courtney’s team has had zero success against it. Nolan Cressler is averaging 18.2 points and 4.2 rebounds to lead the Big Red. Robert Hatter is averaging 11.4 points, Devin Cherry is averaging 9.2 points, and Dwight Tarwater is averaging 8.0 points and 7.0 rebounds. Cornell is averaging 68.9 points and they are shooting 42.2 percent while defensively they are allowing 85.5 points and their opponents are shooting 50.7 percent. Cornell might have to wait another game to get their first win.
Notre Dame is 1-4 against the spread following a win, 0-4-1 against the spread in their last five games, and 0-3-1 against the spread in their last four home games. Cornell is 4-1 against the spread in their last five games, 6-2 against the spread in their last eight road games, and 4-1 against the spread in their last five road games against a team with a winning home record.
Notre Dame wins this game but the line is way too big against a team who covers the spread as often as Cornell.
