The UCLA Bruins and the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos face off on Tuesday in college basketball action as they close out the days schedule of games.
The UCLA Bruins are off to a 7-0 start and they return home after winning both of their games in Las Vegas over the Thanksgiving holiday. Steve Alford looks to have his team on top of their game as they look to make noise this season. Jordan Adams leads the Bruins as he is averaging 21.4 points and 3.3 steals per game. Zach LaVine is averaging 14.3 points, Kyle Anderson is averaging 13 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 7.6 assists per game. UCLA is averaging 90.9 points and they are shooting 55.6 percent while defensively they are allowing 67.9 points and their opponents are shooting 37.6 percent. UCLA is thinking NCAA Tournament and a high seed but they have games against Missouri and Duke before they get to Pac-12 play.

The UC Santa Barbara Gauchos enter this game at 3-2 but they do have a win over UNLV on their resume. UCSB has played the 22nd ranked schedule in the nation and this matchup won’t hurt that ranking. Alan Williams leads the Gauchos averaging 29 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 4.0 blocks per game. Michael Bryson is averaging 12.2 points, Taran Brown is averaging 10.6 points and 6.6 rebounds, and Kyle Boswell is averaging 9.6 points and 4.2 assists. Offensively UCLA is averaging 75.4 points and they are shooting 50.2 percent while defensively they are allowing 65.2 points and their opponents are shooting 39.8 percent. UCSB will need to be at the top of their game to keep this one close.
UCLA is 5-1 against the spread in their last six games, 5-1 against the spread in their last six home games, and 5-2 against the spread following a game that they covered the point spread. UC Santa Barbara is 5-0 against the spread in their last five road games, 4-1 against the spread against the Pac-12, and 7-1-1 against the spread in their last nine games.
The total is set at 155 and I like the over in this one. I have a strong play on the winning side and I posted that in the Premium Area and it is available on the App.
