The Valparaiso Crusaders take to the road to take on the Ball State Cardinals in Wednesday night action.

It's hard to predict what we'll see from Ball State who many say is a team in the middle of the pack in the MAC. When I hear that I immediately think the Cardinals are capable of beating most teams in the conference on any given day but need to be more consistent. That hasn't been the case in three straight defeats following a 78-55 loss to Cleveland State. This was a case of one team not missing and that was the Vikings who nailed shots at almost 63% to easily out distance the 35.6% of the Cardinals. That alone meant eleven more field goals and Ball State couldn't keep up with only a pair of DD scorers. Chris Bond was high man with 17 points and seven rebounds with Zavier Turner and Jesse Berry combining for 19 points.
As I said above, Ball State can win if they play well and are catching a weaker Valparaiso then the one that ruled the roost in the Horizon a season ago. I believe the Crusaders have the edge so and have been a tad more consistent...
