The Line: Louisville Cardinals -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Louisville Cardinals will take the hardwood with the Missouri-Kansas City Kangaroos on Wednesday.
Missouri-Kansas City was obviously hoping for something better then their 1-5 start but the scoring hasn't been able to keep pace with a struggling defense. That trend continued in an 84-79 loss to Milwaukee as the Panthers built a 12 point half time lead and held on over the final 20 minutes. UMKC was on fire from the floor at 56% but Milwaukee was even better at 65% and led 8-1 on threes which was key. Martez Harrison paced the Missouri-Kansas City attack with 28 points with Trinity Hall next in line on a 19 point effort while Nelson Kirksey added 17 points. The problem was finding support for this trio with the rest of the team combining for 15 points.

Louisville was quick out of the gates with a 5-0 record before absorbing a nine point loss to North Carolina where the Cardinals defense suffered through a rare poor effort. The Cards got back on track with a dominating 69-38 decision over a decent Southern Mississippi squad that felt the brunt of an angry defense that performed as if their life depended on it. This one was over quickly with the Golden Eagles staring at a 34-13 deficit after 20 minutes and never challenging. USM mustered just 29% from the floor with UL connecting at nearly 42% but the key was from the perimeter where the Cards held a 12-2 edge. Chris Jones led a trio of DD scorers with 18 points followed by the duo of Montrezl Harrell and Russ Smith with eleven points apiece and a combined 15 rebounds.
At the risk of over stating the obvious, no need to worry about who wins. The line isn't out but it will be a monster and we'll how big the monster is soon enough but it will be close to 30 if I had to guess.
