The Texas A&M Aggies and the Houston Cougars face off on Wednesday in College Station in college basketball action.
The Texas A&M aggies are off to a 6-2 start to the season but they have lost their last two games. The Aggies have played just the 259th ranked schedule in the country thus far but even so Missouri State and SMU both got the best of them. Kourtney Roberson leads Texas A&M averaging 13.2 points and 8.1 rebounds. Alex Caruso is averaging 9.8 points and 4.4 assists, Jordan Green is averaging 9.6 points, and Antwan Space is averaging 9.2 points and 6.5 rebounds. Texas A&M is averaging 75.3 points and they are shooting 50 percent and defensively they are allowing 62.5 points and their opponents shoot 37.1 percent. Texas A&M have been fast starters and poor finishers in recent year so possibly this season they are the reverse.

The Houston Cougars have started the season 6-2 and they are coming off of a win that ended their two game losing streak. Houston has played the 329th ranked schedule but it will get tougher as the season goes on. TaShawn Thomas is averaging 17.2 points and 10.2 rebound to lead UH. Danuel House is averaging 15.6 points and 5.7 rebounds, L.J. Rose is averaging 12 points, and Jherrod Stiggers is averaging 9.1 points. Houston is averaging 75.8 points and they are shooting 46.1 percent while defensively they are allowing 69.3 points and their opponents are shooting 43.1 percent. Houston’s losses were to Texas Tech and Stanford but playing in the ACC they have plenty of tough games coming up.
Texas A&M is 41-17 against the spread following a loss, 0-5 against the spread following a game that they covered the point spread, and 1-6 against the spread against a team with a winning record. Houston is 5-1 against the spread in their last six non-conference games, 4-1-1 against the spread in their last six road games, and 5-2 against the spread following a win.
This one looks to be a defensive battle and the play here is the under. I also have a pick on who will cover the spread and I will post that in the Premium Area and on the App.
