The Detroit Titans visit Savage Hall to face the Toledo Rockets for the second time in two weeks.
Detroit lost most of their talent from a year ago and consequently were not given much of a thought this season. The Titans have been up and down through the early going with some good and bad performances which might be what we can expect from this team going forward. The strong offense we have seen at times struggled in a 65-60 victory over South Florida with a cold 33% shooting while the Bulls countered with 38%. The boxscore was about even in most areas except free throws wher UDM led 25-15 which turned out to be decisive. The twosome of Jarod Williams and Juwan Howard Jr tossed in 12 points each and pulled down eleven rebounds while Evan Bruinsma added eleven points and snared eight more boards.

Toledo is predicted to challenge for the MAC and through seven games the Rockets have not disappointed with a 6-0 mark behind a top five offense that is averaging over 90 points and has not scored less thenn 79. Florida Atlantic became victim #6 by a 94-74 count with the scoring clicking on all cylinders on red hot 51.8% shooting. The Owls were none too shabby at 47.6% but were destroyed at the charity stripe where Toledo hit 34-36 attempts compared to FAU's nine makes. The scoring parade received 23 points from Justin Drummond with Rian Pearson adding 17 points and five yanks followed Nathan Boothe and Julius Brown with 12 points apiece. Ten players saw the floor and all scored with nine playing at least eleven minutes.
Toledo is a good team and Detroit is rebuilding although I don't think they are starting from scratch. Toledo won by two at Detroit as a much smaller favorite and will once again but I'm not willing to kiss all the points good bye...
