The St. Bonaventure Bonnies look for two in a row when they travel to Buffalo Saturday to take on the Bulls.
St. Bonaventure is 6-2 and coming off a 67-58 win over Massachusetts-Lowell Tuesday behind a game-high 19 points and 11 rebounds from senior F Marquise Simmons. Simmons shot 66 percent from the field and made 7 of 8 from the free throw line, while senior G Matthew Wright added 15 points and 5 assists, and connected on 8 of 8 from the free throw line. The Bonnies trailed 34-31 at the half then went on a 14-3 run with just under five minutes left to seal the victory. St. Bonaventure hit 19 of 57 from the floor, 1 of 14 from beyond the arc and connected on 28 of 34 from the free throw line. On the season, the Bonnies are averaging 73.9 ppg on 45 percent shooting and Wright leads the team with 18.4 ppg on 39 percent from the floor and 30 percent from distance.

Buffalo, meanwhile, comes in with a record of 3-2 and off a 65-55 victory over Delaware State last Saturday, in which they shot 47 percent from the field and held the Hornets to 21 of 54 shooting. Freshman G Shannon Evans had a team-high 13 points on 3 of 5 shooting, connected on 5 of 6 from the free throw line and hit 2 of 3 from beyond the arc. Clinging to a six-point lead with a minute and change to play, the Bulls used staunch defense to allow Delaware State just one shot in their final two possessions. Junior F Will Regan added 12 points and 8 boards, while senior G Jarod Oldham had 12 points and 5 assists and hit 2 of 3 from downtown. Through five games, Buffalo is averaging 73 ppg on 42 percent shooting and senior F Javon McCrea leads the team with 18.2 ppg. and 10.6 rebounds per outing.
The line in this one is currently set at -1 for Buffalo and this looks like a complete toss-up. The only team either side has faced worth a mention is Texas A&M, who throttled Buffalo by 24. Each come in at about 73 points per as well so the lean just goes to the home team here.
