The North Carolina-Greensboro Spartans face instate power the #25 North Carolina Tar Heels.
North Carolina-Greensboro kicked off the 2013-14 campaign by winning three of four but have done an about face with losses in three of four. The Spartans style of play is to score a bunch of points and look at the scoreboard after 40 minutes and hope it's enough. It wasn't enough in an 87-66 loss to Prebyterian where the Blue Hose led by 15 at the half and never had to worry with 63% shooting getting the job don while UNCG managed 35% from the floor which was the game. Nicholas Paulos led all scorers with 22 points and seven pulls with Kyle Cain, Kayel Locke and Tevon Saddler tossing in ten points apiece with Cain and Locke combining for 20 rebounds.

North Carolina and a top 20 ranking seem to go hand in hand for it seems like forever. Not this season until the Tar Heels forced the hands of the pollsters hand with wins over Louisville and Michigan State. The Heels dominated the Spartans 79-65 behind an explosive second half that broke a half time tie. UNC really stiffened defensively with the Spartans connecting at 36% to make their own 44.5% look good. Carolina sank six more shots and led 19-12 at the line with most of the damage coming late. Kennedy Meeks paced the UNC offense with 17 points and seven pulls with Brice Johnson next in line with 14 points and six yanks while Nate Britt and Marcus Paige adding 13 points and eleven boards followed by a JP Tokoto tossing in ten points and grabbing ten rebounds.
My worry in backing North Carolina besides the huge spread is a let down after beating Michigan State. I see that Greensboro has been losing big but I still don't like this and it's not a game for me...
