The Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks look to surprise the LSU Tigers at the Pete Marivich Center.
Louisiana-Monroe has finished last in the Sun Belt the past three seasons so a 3-1 start is a welcome site regardless of the competition. The Warhaeks have struggled to score and defend in this stretch but have reversed those trends early on. The Warhawks are ridimg the momentum of an 84-61 rout of Thomas University wher the lead stood at 24 after 20 minutes. ULL burned the nets at nearly 60% with a 23-6 edge at the stripe and a +18 on the glass while limiting the Night Hawks to around 39%. Tyler Ongwae paced the scoring parade with 22 points and seven yanks with Marvin Williams adding 12 followed by Jayon James and DeMondre Harvey with a combined 21 points and 12 rebounds.

LSU has looked pretty good in fashioning s 5-2 record with losses to Massaachusets in overtime and a seven pointer to Memphis with neither being anything to hang your head over. The Tigers have shown plenty of scoring punch and defensive ability an both played a role 70-68 decision over Butler. LSU won the shooting battle 45%-34% with the Bulldogs staying close with more threes and free throws. Johnny O'Bryant III led the Tigers offense with 17 points and eight rebounds followed by Jarell Martin, Jordan Mickey, ShavonColeman and Malik Morgan with 12 point apiece with seven of eight platers finding the scoring column overall.
Louisiana-Monroe is picked for another low finish in the Sun Belt but they have looked better then that albeit in a handful of games. I'm just backing the potential of what looks like a pretty good LSU squad...
