The Ole Miss Rebels and the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders face off on Saturday in college basketball action.
The Ole Miss Rebels are 6-2 for the season but their two losses have been in their last two games. Mississippi lost to Kansas State by three and then fell at home to Oregon in overtime. Marshall Henderson once again lead the Rebels as he is averaging 18.3 points per game and when he heats up he is very hard to stop. Jarvis Summers is averaging 15.5 points, Derrick Millinghaus is averaging 14.1 points, and Demarco Cox is averaging 9 points and 7.2 rebounds. Ole Miss is averaging 81.9 points and they are shooting 43.6 percent while defensively they are allowing 71.9 points and their opponents are shooting 40.7 percent. Ole Miss is 3-1 at home this season and they have played the 120th ranked schedule in the country.

The Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders have won three of their last four games as they look for their second road win of the season. MTSU as played the 200th ranked schedule in the nation but they have been tested as one of their losses was at Florida. Shawn Jones leads the Blue Raiders averaging 14.2 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Kerry Hammonds II is averaging 12.6 points, Neiko Hunter is averaging 12.4 points, and Trantell Knight is averaging 9.2 points and 4.6 assists. Middle Tennessee State is averaging 76.4 points and they are shooting 48.2 percent from the floor while defensively they are allowing 67.6 points and their opponents shoot 39.5 percent. MTSU won’t be a pushover in Conference USA this season.
Mississippi is 6-1 against the spread against Confernece USA, 4-10 against the spread following an against the spread loss, and 1-3-2 against the spread in their first six games overall. Middle Tennessee State is 3-8 against the spread on the road against a team with a winning home record, 0-4 against the spread against the SEC, and 1-4 against the spread against a team with a winning record.
I like Ole Miss to win at home but the number here is just too big to pass on so I will take MTSU.
