Nebraska-Omaha isn't exactly a household name in the world of college basketball but they have played a few bigger names well such as UNLV and Iowa. The Mavericks offense continued to rack up points and needed them in a 93-88 decision over Cal St-Bakersfield. Defense was optional with both squads sinking around half their shots. The Roadrunners stayed alive with 13 threes and the Mavericks won it with 33 makes at the line. CJ Carter led four DD scorers with 20 points followed by John Karhoff with 18 points while Marcus Tyus and Devin Patterson added 14 and 13 points.

Nevada appears to be an offense first squad and have to be from necessity because opponents have been doing their share of damage on the scoreboard. That was what we saw in a 92-84 loss at California with both teams sinking shots in the 55% range. The boxscore was even enough but as often the case the foul line proved to be very important with the Golden Bears holding an 18-12 margin. The Wolf Pack offense received a game high 26 points, seven boards and five helpers from Deonte Burton with Jerry Evans Jr. and Michael Perez netted 18 points apiece. Cole Huff and Marqueze Coleman combined fot 16 points with Huff snagging five pulls to round out the top producers.
I don't think there is a night and day difference between these teams and Nebraska-Omaha hasn't been bad so I would take a shot with the points...
