The John M. Huntsman Center will be rocking when the Utah Utes host the Brigham Young Cougars.
Brigham Young and their up tempo style have leaped out to a 8-3 record behind a potent offense that is averagng 90 points. The offense continued to light up the scoreboard in a one sided 100-52 victory over Prairie View. The Cougars tooj an 18 point lead in to the locker room and were never challenged with 61% shooting including a 10-14 mark on threes putting up plenty of points. A +17 on the backboards combined with a defense that allowed only 29% shooting and this one was over soon after the opening tip. Tyler Haws and Kyle Collinsworth each tallied 19 points and combined for eleven pulls with Eric Mika posting 15 points and six boards while Anson Winder chipped in with eleven.

Everything has been going in favor of Utah thus far as they have built an 8-1 record behind plenty of scoring and a defense that has held their own. Both came up huge in the second half of a 74-66 decision over visiting Idaho State that erased a nine point deficit. The Utes scorched the nets at 58% including an 11-22 display from beyond the arcwgile the Bengals checked in at 43% with eight bombs of their own which kept Idaho State competitive along with 13 more attempts. Jordan Loveridge was unstoppable with 27 points and seven boards on 10-14 shooting in 40 minutes followed by a 15 point, five pull, six assist effort from Delon White while Dakarai Tucker and Brandon Taylor tossed in 12 and nine points.
Both teams are off to good starts but Brigham Young has fared well in this match up and I see no reason they can't get the job done once again...
