The Drexel Dragons visit Belk Arena to face the Davidson Wildcats in a Sunday match up.
It's going to be another season where Drexel is short handed with Damion Lee out for the year but the team has managed to over come the loss early on. The Dragons improved to 6-2 with a 75-61 decision over Tennessee State for win number three in a row. Drexel jumped out to a 12 point lead at the break and were never in danger behind 48% including a 9-24 mark from the land of three. An 18-13 advantage at the stripe negated the Tigers 48% marksmanship and the Dragons were never in a real danger. Frantz Massenat led the offense with 21 points and six assists with Chris Fouch adding 20 points and Kazembe Abif eleven with the two combining for 13 boards.

Davidson has been a been a bit of a mystery with enough talent back where they are supposed to be one of the elite teams in the SoCon but have yet to get the ship pointed in the right direction. The Wildcats fell to 4-6 following an 83-72 loss at Niagara in which the Purple Eagles exploded for 52 second half points to erase a three point deficit. Davidson struggled to find the shooting touch at 36% and Niagara didn't at 48% with a +7 at the charity stripe that secured the victory. Tom Droney paced the Wildcats scoring with 17 pointsand five pulls while Jake Belford checked in with 13 points followed by the duo of Andrew McAuliffe and Jordan Barham tossing in nine points apiece with Barham grabbing five more rebounds.
I definitely believe Davidson is better then they've shown and will eventually break loose and punish some people. I hope it's not here against Drexel who I have been a big fan of...
