The Oregon Ducks and the UC Irvine Anteaters face off on Tuesday in college basketball action.
The Oregon Ducks have started the season at 9-0 and have clearly established themselves as one of the top teams in the nation. Following up on last year’s appearance in the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament the Ducks look to take it further this season. Houston transfer Joseph Young leads the Ducks in scoring averaging 19.4 points per game. Mike Moser is averaging 15 points and 7.6 rebounds, Johnathan Loyd is averaging 11.3 points and 7.3 assists, Elgin Cook is averaging 11 points, and Jason Calliste is averaging 10.4 points. Oregon is averaging 89.1 points and they are shooting 53.2 percent from the floor while defensively they are allowing 73.6 points and their opponents are shooting 41.2 percent. Oregon appears to be one of the deepest teams in the nation and that should serve them well in Pac-12 play.
