The North Carolina Tar Heels and the Texas Longhorns face off on Wednesday in college basketball action.
The North Carolina Tar Heels are ranked 18th in the country and they have gone a perfect 3-0 against teams ranked in the top 25. UNC has been upset in both of their losses, UAB and Belmont, so they seem to play up or down to their opponents. Marcus Paige leads the Tar Heels averaging 19.2 pints and 4.2 assists per game. James Michael McAdoo is averaging 13.8 points and 5.8 rebounds, Brice Johnson is averaging 13 points and 6.9 rebounds, and J.P. Tokoto is averaging 10 points and 5 rebounds. North Carolina is averaging 78 points and they are shooting 47.8 percent from the floor while defensively they are allowing 67.7 points and their opponents are shooting 37.9 percent. North Carolina is coming off of a big win against Kentucky on Saturday.

The Texas Longhorns are flying under the radar but they are 9-1 on the season so far. Rick Barnes’ team has reeled off five wins since losing to BYU. Jonathan Holmes leads the Longhorns averaging 12.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. Isaiah Taylor is averaging 11.7 points, Demarcus Holland is averaging 1 points and 5.6 rebounds, and Javan Felix is averaging 10.8 points. Texas is averaging 78.8 points oer game and they are shooting 44.8 percent while defensively they are allowing 68.4 points and their opponents are shooting 39.3 percent. Texas hasn’t faced a ranked team yet this season.
North Carolina is 5-1 against the spread in their last six games, 10-4 against the spread in their last 14 home games, and 1-5 against the spread against the Big 12. Texas is 1-3-1 against the spread in their last five road games against a team with a winning home record and 1-6-1 against the spread following a game that they covered the spread. The home team has covered the point spread in four of the last five meetings of these two.
This is a monster line and while UNC has played big against the big opponents this is perhaps too big of a number for this game.
