The Tennessee Volunteers and the North Carolina State Wolfpack face off in Tuesday night action.
The surging Wolfpack have won four straight with generally solid contributions from both ends of the floor although it was the offense that carried most of the load in an 82-79 decision over visiting Detroit. NC State looked like they were heading for an easy victory with a nine point lead at the break before the Titans offense awoke and made a game of it. The Pack prevailed thanks to 50% marksmanship and a game high 29 points from TJ Warren with Ralston Turner coming through with a 21 point performance while seven of the eight man rotation also contributed.

I don't know where Tennessee fits in the SEC but based on their non conference schedule to date I think this will be a dangerous squad. The Volunteeers were riding a three game winning streak when they ran in to Wichita State who seems to be flying under the radar a bit but not so much after handing the Volunteers a 70-61 set back behind a 45 point second half run. The Shockersheld a slight shooting advantage 43%-38.5% but that was crucial because it meant three more field goals in a fairly close game. While Wichita State had several scoring options the Volunteers relied mostly on Jordan McRae who poured in 26 points with Jeronne Maymon and Jarnell Stokes combining for 17.
I believe Tennessee is better and wins this possibly in a rout but NC State has scoring potential which I'll lean on for the cover...
