The #6 Louisville Cardinals and the Florida International Golden Panthers take the floor at the U.S. Century Bank Arena.

Louisville is one of the more impressive teams in the college ranks with all ten of their wins coming by double figures. The Cardinals can do everything from scoring to defending with that trend continuing in a 90-60 pounding of Missouri State. The Bears were out of this quickly as they were down 23 after one half and their 38% shooting made sure there was no rally. Louisville burned the nets at 51.5% with hefty advantages throughout the boxscore with production coming from 12 players. Montrezl Harrell led the scoring spree with 17 points and eight pulls while Terry Rozier, Russ Smith and Wayne Blackshear added eleven points apiece with three others netting between 8-9 points.

Jamie Rhodes-USA TODAY Sports

I don't think we'll know a lot about Florida International until conference play begins as they embark on their first season in the CUSA after leaving the Sun Belt. My initial reaction is the Golden Panthers do not look bad at all at 8-4 although their schedule will definitely get tougher. FIU has done okay in the scoring and defense departments with both on the same page in a 72-61 defeat of Florida Gulf Coast. Both teams connected at 45% from the floor with the Golden Panthers winning it at the stripe with a 22-5 advantage. Tymell Murphy paced the Florida International scoring with 23 points and five pulls with Dennis Mavin next in line with 19 points followed by Rakeem Buckles and Jason Boswell with eleven and nine points.

Louisville looks like they are headed for another double figure win with the question of whether they press the issue and cover or get a lead and relax...
