The Texas A&M Aggies and the Oklahoma Sooners face off on Saturday in Houston in college basketball action.

The Texas A&M Aggies are 8-2 on the season but they have won their last two games heading into this one. The Aggies have played two neutral site games so far this season losing them both and they haven’t beaten a team with a RPI better than 100. Kourtney Roberson is averaging 13.4 points and 7.5 rebounds per game to lead Texas A&M. Jamal Jones is averaging 10.1 points, Alex Caruso is averaging 9.5 points, and Jordan Green is averaging 8.9 points. Texas A&M is averaging 74.9 points and they are shooting 49.6 percent from the floor while defensively they are allowing 61.7 points and their opponents shoot 37 percent. Texas A&M has played the 308th ranked schedule in the nation which will get much more difficult as the season continues.

Texas A&M Aggies vs. Oklahoma Sooners Pick, Odds, Prediction 12/21/13

Joshua Lindsey-USA TODAY Sports

The Oklahoma Sooners are 10-1 so far this season and Lon Kruger’s team has won their last six games in a row. Oklahoma is 3-1 in neutral site games and their only loss came to Michigan State. Cameron Clark leads the Sooners averaging 18.9 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Buddy Hield is averaging 17.3 points and 4.5 rebounds, Jordan Woodard is averaging 11.5 points and 5.5 assists, Isaiah Cousins is averaging 10.9 points, and Ryan Spangler is averaging 10.8 and 8.9 rebounds per game. As a team OU Is averaging 88.4 points and they are shooting 48.1 percent while defensively they are allowing 77.9 points and their opponents are shooting 42.6 percent. Oklahoma is trying to make some noise in what looks to be a very tough Big 12 this season.

Texas A&M is 3-11 against the spread in their last 14 neutral site games, 0-7 against the spread following a win, and 2-6 against the spread against a team with a winning record. Oklahoma is 0-4 against the spread against the SEC, 0-3-1 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the point spread, and 2-5-1 against the spread following a win. The favorite has covered the point spread in five of the last seven meetings of these two.

My free pick in this one will be on the total so check back when the totals are released. I also have a pick on who will cover the spread and I will post that in the Premium Area and on the App.
