The Horizon and MAC meet when the Cleveland State Vikings visit the Toledo Rockets.
Cleveland State has already been all over the map with some really good performances which leaves you scratching your head when they don't perform well. The Vikings schedule will begin to get more difficult so it is momentum building time after a 97-72 rout of Notre Dame (OH) gave the team consecutive victories and upped their record to 6-5. This was simply a case of being in a complete mismatch with CSU firing away at 61% from the floor with advantages in most areas. Bryn Forbes was the scoring star with 27 points with Marlin Mason tossing in 15 followed by Sebastian Douglas and Trey Lewis with 13 and ten points.
There are several teams from the MAC that are quite capable of holding their own against some of the bigger names and Toledo is one of them. The Rockets are scoring points at a prolific pace and is a big reason they have not lost. Arkansas te threw a scare in to them with a four point lead after 20 minutes before a 38-21 second half run set things straight for their 10th win to begin the year. Both teams finished shooting the ball in the 46%-47% range with the visitors hoisting a few more shots but this game was decided at the foul line where the Rockets held a decisive 19-4 edge. Justin Drummond led the offense with 19 points and six yanks with Nathan Boothe hitting for 14 followed by JD Weatherspoon and Rian Pearson with a combined 21 points and 12 boards.
Toledo won't stay undefeated and Cleveland State isn't awful so this could be the day although I believe it's more guessing then anything when trying to predict the Rockets first loss...
