The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers host the Murray State Racers at the E.A. Diddle Arena.
I think everyone is well aware that this isn't the same Murray State squad that threatened perfection a few year's ago. That team was dominant at both ends of the floor and this team has to work their way towards that level. The positive news is the Racers have won three in a row following a 73-65 victory over Southern Illinois. There wasn't a great difference in the numbers with MSU holding a 42%-38.5% shooting edge which meant an extra basket and a few more field goals. Cameron Payne paced the Racers attack with 22 points, five pulls and seven assists with TJ Sapp adding 15 while Jefferey Moss and Dexter Fields combined for 17 points.

One thing jumps off the page at me when I look at Western Kentucky and that has been theit struggles on the road where they are 1-5 thus far. The Hilltoppers knocked off Southern Mississippi 68-65 red hot 53% marksmanship that barely over came the Salukis 44.7% because of a 26-14 advantage at the charity stripe. Trency Jackson led four double digit scorers with 16 points followed by 15 point performances from TJ Price and George Fant while Chris Harrison-Docks chipped in with eleven. Altogether Western Kentucky used a nine man rotation with seven players finding the scoring column with the duo that did not score not attempting a single shot.
Western Kentucky is the better team especially at home so Murray State has to play well to cover. DD is too much for my blood as I need single digits to look at the Hilltoppers...
