The Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks visit the #3 Ohio State Buckeyes clash on Friday action.
Considering that Louisiana-Monroe hasn't had great performances for awhile their 3-4 start isn't that bad. The bad news right now is the Warhawks have been faltering with three consecutive defeats following an 83-61 defeat to instate rival Louisiana Tech. The Bulldogs jumped to an 18 point lead after 20 minutes and never looked back behind 57% shooting which was decisive with UL Monroe checking in with 38.7%. Tylor Ongwae carried the Warhawks offense with 20 points and five pulls with Jayon James checking in with a 14 point, eight board effort while Amos Olatayo checked in with eleven points and seven rebounds.

Ohio State is up to their old tricks with a 12-0 record and the Big Ten title well within their grasp along with the inevitable NCAA Tournament invite awaiting. Plenty of scoring and defense have been their calling card although the defensive end of the floor carried them to a 64-61 decision over Notre Dame. OSU appeared to be in control with a seven point lead at the break but they could never shake the Fighting Irish. ND won the marksmanship battle 45%-41.8% with the Buckeyes sinking four more free throws to squeak out the win. LaQuinton Ross paced the Ohio State attack with 16 points and eleven rebounds with Amir Williams adding 13 points and six yanks while Shannon Scott and Aaron Craft netted ten points each with Scott logging six helpers.
I have said before that UL Monroe has looked better then I have seen them but they also haven't played a lot of games. We all know what Ohio State is capable of and to me they cover if they go hard for 40 minutes or just win other wise...
