The #15 Connecticut Huskies look to avoid the upset bid of the Eastern Washington Eagles.
Eastern Washington was quick out of the gates to kick off the 2013-14 campaign but things have taken a turn for the worse with losses in four of five. Both ends of the floor have developed cracks in the armor with the D getting overwhelmed last time out in a 92-70 defeat at Seton Hall. The Pirates burned the nets at 57% and held a 27-10 edge at the line with the Eagles shooting under 40%. Parker Kelly led the offense with 17 points in 40 minutes followed by Tyler Harvey with 16 points with Venky Jois tossing in eleven points and hauling in eleven rebounds.

Nobody can say Connecticut has had an easy go of it as their 10-1 mark has four games decided by no more then two points. The Huskies rebounded from their lone defeat to Stanford by knocking off Washington 82-70 as their goal is to inch their way up the national rankings. The UConn offense was in top form for this one with 55% accuracy UW connected at 44% which was enough to earn the victory. Shabazz Napier paced the UConn attack with a contest high 20 points and six yanks with Ryan Boatright netting 16 and grabbing five boards while Lasan Kromah and DeAndre Daniels tossed in 14 and ten points respectively as nine players found the scoring column overall.
If you look at the numbers then Connecticut is the choice but the problem for me is everytime I back the Huskies they take the night off. They probably will again so use caution with either...
