The Kansas State Wildcats and the Tulane Green Wave face off on Saturday in Brooklyn in college basketball action.
The Kansas State Wildcats got off to a slow start to the season but they have won six games in a row and are playing at their best. KSU is 2-2 in neutral site games thus far and they have played the 199th ranked schedule in the country. Marcus Foster is averaging 14.4 points to lead the Wildcats. Thomas Gipson is averaging 12 points and 5.6 rebounds, Shane Southwell is averaging 9.9 points and 5.2 rebounds, and Will Spradling is averaging 7.7 points. Kansas State is averaging 66.5 points and they are shooting 41.4 percent from the floor while defensively they are allowing 59.6 points and their opponents are shooting 40.8 percent. Kansas State’s schedule looks brutal in January with games against Oklahoma State and Kansas.

The Tulane Green Wave have won three of their last four games but this season has been a struggle. Tulane is 0-2 in neutral site games and they don’t have a win over a team with a RPI better than 100. Louis Dabney leads the Green Wave averaging 20.1 points and 5.1 rebounds. Jonathan Stark is averaging 17.6 points, Jay Hook is averaging 15.8 points and 6.3 rebounds, and Trevante Drye is averaging 5.8 points and 7.6 rebounds. Tulane is averaging 70.8 points and they are shooting 43.7 percent from the floor while defensively they are allowing 73.3 points and their opponents are shooting 47.6 percent. Tulane has played the 309th ranked schedule in the nation and have had modest success against it.
Kansas State is 4-1 against the spread in their last five games and 6-2 against the spread in their last eight Saturday games. Tulane is 9-4 against the spread in their last 13 non-conference games games and 0-4 against the spread in their last four neutral site games.
Kansas State seems to be rolling right now and I don’t love this number but I like the idea of being on Tulane here a lot less.
