Marshall has lost five of their last six games as the injuries are mounting to their top players. Marshall has played the 94th ranked schedule and they are 0-4 away from home this season. Kareem Canty is averaging 17.8 points and 7.3 assists to lead the Thundering Herd. Ryan Taylor is averaging 12.5 points and 7.5 rebounds, Chris Thomas is averaging 12.2 points, and TyQuane Goard is averaging 7.3 points and 5.5 rebounds. Marshall is averaging 85.8 points and they are shooting 47.7 percent while defensively they are allowing 77.6 points and their opponents are shooting 42.9 percent. Marshall looks like they are going to have a tough go of it in Conference USA this season.
South Carolina is 7-15 against the spread in their last 22 games, 1-5 against the spread against Conference USA, and 2-6 against the spread following a win. Marshall is 10-25-1 against the spread in their last 36 games, 6-20-1 against the spread in their last 27 non-conference games, and 4-15 against the spread in their last 19 road games.
Marshall is up against it with their top scorer out and while that is already figured into the line South Carolina seems to have found something and I like them to cover here.
