The Kent State Golden Flashes travel to Jadwin Gymnasium to face the Princeton Tigers.
In my view Kent State is a team to watch in the MAC but they haven't looked all that good the last few weeks. Either that or we are expecting too much from them. The Golden Flashes have dropped two of three following a 78-70 loss to visiting Cleveland State. The defense just not there with the Vikings hitting 54% from the floor includiing 7-14 from long range which was decisive with Kent shooting 41% and going 7-27 on threes. Derek Jackson led all scorers with 18 pointsand five yanks with Darren Goodson and Mark Henniger adding 14 points each while combining for 14 boards.

The Ivy League is supposed to be more wide open then it has been in years which might end up being true but it looks like Princeton remains as one of the teams to beat. The Tigers haven't played since before Christmas which means they have had a few weeks to digest their poorest effort of the season in a 93-79 loss to Portland. The offense was there for both teams who connected at around 55% but 17 Tigers turnovers did them in along with the Pilots sinking seven more free throws. TJ Bray carried the offense with 25 points on 7-12 marksmanshipd with Jimmy Sherburne tossing in 15 points while Will Barrett netted eleven points and six boards.
I think Princeton wins this because in all honesty I haven't been thrilled by what I have seen from Kent State as of late. I still think this is too many points to give away but it won't be if the Golden Flashes go through the motions...
