The Tutor Fieldhouse and the Rice Owls play host to the once beaten Harvard Crimson.
Even though the Ivy League has been a little better in the top half to kick off the season Harvard is looking like one of the teams to beat with their combination of scoring and defense. Both played a big role in a 73-58 decision over Boston College for win number eight in a row as the Crimson out shot the Eagles 50%-40% and won the battle at the stripe 23-12 to win easily. Wesley Saunders paced a balanced attack with 21 points and six boards with Jonah Travis and Kyle Casey tossing in eleven points each with Casey hauling in ten rebounds.

If you look at the record Rice has produced it is obviously not very impressive but upon further digging you will see that half their games have been decided in overtime and by a few buckets or less. Obviously the strength of schedule hasn't been the toughest and perhaps their 66-44 loss at Texas puts things in perspective. The Owls trailed by 18 by the break with the Longhorns holding a 46%-29% in shooting and a 19-6 advantage at the line to win going away. Production was obviously tough to come by with only one player reaching double figures in scoring. Sean Obi led the team with ten points and 12 rebound while Nizar Kapic and Keith Washington tossed in seven points each.
This is a fairly big spread for Harvard on the road but the numbers do point to the Crimson so this is based on potential to cover...
