The Murray State Racers look to remain perfect in the Ohio Valley when they visit the Eastern Kentucky Colonels.
Murray State is no where near being the dominant force they were a few short years ago but yo can't argue with their recent success. The Racers have gone 5-2 in the past seven and began the conference slate with a 2-0 mark after slamming Tennessee-Martin 91-77. Up by ten at the break Murray sank shots at a 54% pace and owned a 33-15 advantage at the foul line to easily off set 17 turnovers. Cameron Payne paced the offensive explosion with a contest best 27 points with five yanks and five helpers while Jeffery Moss and Jarvis Williams added 20 points each with Williams hauled in 15 rebounds followed by TJ Sapp with 14 points.

If asked to describe Eastern Kentucky I would say they are great offensively and adequated at the defensive end although their +300 strength of schedule leaves a lot of questions. The Colonels saw their three game winning streak halted last time out in an 85-79 loss to SIU-Edwardsville. EKY shot the ball well at 52% but the Cougars were even better at 58% which essentially was the difference because it added up to a few more buckets for the home team. Glenn Cosey poured in 23 points to lead the Eastern Kentucky attack with Corey Walden checking in with 19 points followed by an 18 point effort from Orlando Williams with nine players scoring overall.
Both teams can score but both also struggle at the defensive end. When I compare the numbers these guys look more alike then different which has me looking at the points...
